About

Barre at Studio 246 is a supportive community where you can exercise at your own level on your own terms. We don’t take ourselves too seriously and enjoy friendly banter while we exercise. There is no compromise on technique though - small angles make a big difference so we make sure to get them right!

Classes are multi-level to cater for different needs. If challenge is what you need - you will find it! If you need to ease into exercise - you can do that too!  Classes are small so you will never be “lost”. More personal attention means a more effective workout. Come try it.

Teacher info

Hi! My name is Dani Miller. I have been training my body and moving to music almost my whole life. As a child I trained in classical ballet and continued until I was 20. I studied Exercise Science at Qld Uni of Technology and later did post grad at AUT. I trained in Clinical Pilates and worked alongside physios in rehab clinics. I have worked in gyms, rehab clinics, corporate wellness and a health resort. Teaching Group Fitness classes started as a ‘uni job’ while studying exercise science but has turned out to be my real passion and has stayed with me alongside whatever else I have done. Over 20 years, 6 countries and countless classes later, I still love teaching! I am a mother of 2 gorgeous girls and have done the Continence Foundation course on Pelvic Floor safe exercise. Add all of this together and you have a fantastic foundation for a Barre instructor!

Now I am certified in the Total Barre method of Barre training (by Merrithew) and am loving teaching my own Barre classes here at Studio 246. With small class sizes I can give everyone the personalised attention and postural correction that makes Barre training so much more effective. Love to meet you at a Barre class soon!
